SURNAME WORK GROUPS
A NOTE FROM THE ADMIN, SHELAGH BRALEY STARR:
You might recall back in January 2025, when our Facebook group IRISH BY ANCESTRY was only 50,000 strong. I floated the idea of ancestry WORK GROUPS, where members who share surnames within their family trees could work together to pool information and resources in a more directed way. An overwhelming number of you responded right away, which is so helpful, because it helps us build programming that’s helpful to you.
I want to encourage those of you actively working on your Irish ancestry research to get involved in this free initiative. The more people join the list, the faster your teams will get to work!
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FORMING A SURNAME WORK GROUP:
Please fill out the form below. PLEASE INCLUDE ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION, your name (as stated on the IRISH BY ANCESTRY FB group so we can find you), your email, and the surnames you’re working on. We will add you to the database when we receive your registration. When there are enough collaborators who share your working surname(s), the IRISH BY ANCESTRY work group admin will contact you and your group adventure will commence!
